Pneuma is the invisible and hidden dust that today’s science is still unable to refute with data and evidence. It is the human spirit linked to the soul, to the breath of life. According to Greek terminology this word tends to designate more specifically the conscious life principle of every organism.
Inspired by children’s readings, where good and evil are part of the same balance, one could not exist without the awareness of the other, and still of a third, regarding spirituality, we are all three at the same time, and when we look in the mirror, how many times we find it hard to recognize which of them is reflected, to give us the illusion of existing.
Placing evil on the left and good on the right, this dreamlike project subtly suggests the arm of a third character who is our spirituality, through our own imaginary projection. How much can the fear of an invisible enemy affect the psyche? What will this prolonged but necessary state of isolation involve?
Pneuma è la polvere invisibile e celata che la scienza odierna ancora non è in grado di confutare con dati e prove, è lo spirito umano legato all’anima, al soffio vitale. Secondo la terminologia greca questa parola tende a designare in modo più specifico il principio vitale cosciente di ogni organismo.
Ispirato alle letture per bambini dove il bene ed il male fanno parte di un stesso equilibro, l’uno non potrebbe esistere senza la consapevolezza dell’altro e ancora di un terzo che riguarda la spiritualità, noi siamo tutti allo stesso tempo e quando ci guardiamo allo specchio quante volte facciamo fatica a riconoscere quale di essi si riflette per dare a noi la illusione di esistere.
Collocando il male a sinistra e il bene a destra, questo progetto onirico ci suggerisce in modo sottile il braccio di un terzo personaggio che è la nostra spiritualità, attraverso una nostra immaginaria proiezione.
Quanto può incidere la paura di un nemico invisibile sulla psiche? Cosa comporterà questo prolungato, ma necessario stato di isolamento?
